RenaKare Gel

Potassium Gluconate

 Renakare helps correct potassium deficiencies that may arise from diabetes, diuretics, and chronic renal disease.
 
  • Treatment for hypokalemia
  • Available in gel or tablet forms

 

Dosage:

Each 2.34 g (1/2 teaspoon) contains 2 mEq (468 mg) of potassium gluconate in a palatable base. The suggested dosage of RenaKare Gel for adult cats and dogs is 2.34 g (1/2 teaspoon) per 10 lbs (4.5 kg) body weight twice daily. Dosage may be adjusted to satisfy patient's need.

Administration:
RenaKare Gel is highly palatable. To initiate interest in taste, place small amount on the animal's nose or on the roof of its mouth. Gel may be placed on the paw after initial interest has been established.

Warning:

Do not administer in diseases where high potassium levels may be encountered, such as severe renal insufficiency or adrenal insufficiency.

Precaution:
Use with caution in the presence of cardiac disease, particularly in digitalized patients or in the presence of renal disease

Store at controlled room temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86°F).
